I just returned from washing my white queen sized comforter at Super Saver Laundromat on the Silas Deane Highway in Wethersfield. Firstly, the place is a dump. The photos online must have been taken right after it opened. There are spills all over the floor and trash everywhere. The windows, walls and everything else are dirty. Secondly, the payment system is ridiculous. You must purchase a card to use the washers. My debit card didn't work (even though the sign says that debit cards are accepted). I tried to use a $20 dollar bill to purchase the card and the machine wouldn't accept that either. I had to leave to go get change, as it seems the machine only accepts $5 and $1 dollar bills. The price of the 30 lb. washer was between $8 and $9, meaning I had to load $9 on the card, leaving a balance on the card which I will never use, because I'm certainly never going back. Thirdly, I am a 5' 4" tall woman and I couldn't reach the top of the machine to add detergent. There is a step ladder in the store especially for that reason. How ridiculous is it to have to climb a ladder to do your laundry?
THIS LAUNDROMAT IS TERRIBLE!!! DON'T GO THERE IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO!!
I use this laundromat regularly. When i first came here this place was dirty, you could never find an attendant. Card machine ate $10 bill which I will never get back. I had to use the restroom, it was something out of a horror movie. Needless to say I went elsewhere. This place needs a complete overhaul. Biggest thing is it needs an attendant. Someone to sweep and mop and help if there is an issue with machines. They have signs for wash and fold service but I think that is just an old sign they should remove. I only use because it's near me and the dryers are free. I think that's what they count on. I just wish they cared more about the people and the reputation of the laundromat. I talk to so many people and most think the same. It just needs a manager who cares.
A man that works at Super Save Laundromat was watching inappropriate stuff on the computer . (the screen of the computer is big so you can see what he's doing)
The worst thing is that the dryer RUINED my white comforter. It came out of the washer fine, but came out of the dryer with black streaks all over it. And I do mean ALL OVER! I don't know if it was grease from the dryer or rubber marks from the gasket around the door (I'm assuming it had one.) Whatever the case, the comforter isn't even usable anymore.
