Our family has been with the Wethersfield United Methodist church for just shy of 10 years.In 2003, we had a 1 year old daughter and were looking for a church where we felt welcome and where our daughter would go to Sunday school. We visited churches in the area and did not feel that they were a good fit for us. Then, we were invited to visit WUMC. We immediately felt welcomed. The sermon was excellent and was very Spirit filled. We went to coffee hour and were warmly welcomed by several people. We could feel the Spirit of God at work in our midst. People asked about where we lived, asked our about family and introduced us to the Pastors. My husband and I looked at each other and said "This is home". Ever since then, we have happily been part of an extended family that genuinely cares about one another. We have become members and now have two daughters. They both look forward to going to church every Sunday. They are involved in children's activities year round. Our friends come to the Christmas pageants every year and also enjoy the friendliness of our church. We are involved in Bible studies that are relevant to today's world, are involved in the missions ministries and are leaders of committees.
