Above that, the level of commitment here is also clearly high. They host animals from local shelters for adoption, and recently a cat was hanging around for a long time. Lots of people would come through and be turned off by her apparent attitude. I had returned to see if she was still around, to find that Julie had volunteered to foster the cat herself.

Being greeted warmly each time I go in to pick up my orders really makes this place feel like a neighborhood shop rather than enormous chain. I know that many of the Pet Supplies Plus stores in CT get pretty mediocre support from the owner, so it's always incredible to see the staff rising to the challenge.
The bulk of the staff here is amazing. It's not just a job; they clearly care about animals deeply and genuinely. The management (especially Julie) have always gone the extra mile to find what I need for my menagerie of animals.
