Very disappointing experience here. I received a ring for Christmas 2016. In May of this year the stone fell out. I brought it back to have the stone replaced. I had a picture of the ring which I shared. I also asked about the white gold turning color because it was my first white gold ring. The gentleman I worked with said they could "clean it up". I got a call with an estimated of $55 to replace the stone which I agreed to. They called to tell me it was ready, when I got there it was a square stone instead of the round original. They sent it back out. I got a call again to come get it, the stone was much smaller and the wrong cut. It was a flat cut on top instead of multiple cuts on the original. I again commented that it appeared much smaller. They asked this time for me to send them the picture of the original ring. They ordered another ring from the manufacturer. About 6 weeks went by and I called asking whether it was ready. They called the manufacturer and said it would be in the following week. The following week they called and I went down again. Again the ring did not appear to be the same as the original. At this point the jeweler offered to order a few different stones for me to look at. A couple of weeks later I was called to come look at them. There was one stone that appeared to be as close as I was going to get, albeit not as big as the original. I was told they would set it and it would be ready the following Tuesday. Three weeks later I called to ask about the ring and they said oh yes it's here. I went to pick it up, it looks very good, as close as we can get it, however, I was charged $100.00 for the ring. I was quoted $55.00. He told me it was $60 for the stone and $40 for refinishing the white gold. I told him I was never told there would be a charge for that, just that "they would clean it up". His response was that the price has actually gone up $10 since they quoted and refinished it back several months ago. They offered to take off the $6.00 for sales tax. I drove from Suffield to Wethersfield numerous times with their initial errors on the stone, and had to call and follow up numerous times, they have had this ring for 6 months. I appreciate they worked to get it right but to not only discount the original quote but charge more was very disappointing. I will not be back or recommend to anyone else.
